Attending Worship Services
As part of your preparation for getting married at St James and Emmanuel we ask you to attend services with us at least twice each month for 6 months prior to your banns being called. We will provide you with an attendance record card that you will need to get stamped and dated each time you attend a Sunday services with us.
We ask people to do this not because we want to fill our churches with reluctant wedding couples but because we believe it is important that we get to know one another as we prepare to celebrate your marriage together. It will also help to build up your Christian faith and it will enable your marriage service to be more personal and meaningful.

There are also other ways of belonging to the church throughout the week, including small groups, toddler groups etc. Please get in touch with us if you need any more details.
