What does it cost?
Weddings can cost a small fortune but the church is often one of the cheapest parts!
Our fees for 2011 are:
For Marriage Service by Banns at St James and Emmanuel Church
Standard Fee £506.50
With video recording £650.50
For services between October – April please add £60 to cover the cost of heating.
All fees include calling of banns, marriage certificate, minister, organist, PA operator, church and the Marriage Encounter Day (marriage preparation). Cheques need to be made payable to "St James and Emmanuel PCC".
For Marriage Service by Licence at St James and Emmanuel Church
Simply deduct £22 from the above table of fees.
In addition a fee for the Licence will be payable to the issuer of the Licence. This will be explained to you at the time of your application for the Licence.
Other costs?
There may be some extra fees incurred depending on your requirements. For example our bell ringers charge £150 (Cheques payable to "St James Bellringers" and send to Parish Office).
When do we need to pay?
A non-returnable booking fee of £30 is payable at the time of initial booking. This is part of the total fee and will be deducted from the final cost payable prior to your wedding date. This booking fee will not be returned if the wedding is cancelled.
All payments to be received in advance of your wedding day. Send by post to our Parish Office or drop into the Monday evening session at our Parish Office between 7 – 7.30pm.
