Legalities

The Marriage and Registration Acts allow four ways of authorising a marriage in the Church of England. These are by :

- Banns
- Bishop’s Common Licence
- Superintendent Registrar’s Certificate
- Archbishop’s Licence.

The most common way is by Banns. If you know you will need to get married under any authorisation other than Banns then please contact us.
