A New Start in Emmanuel
We're making an exciting fresh start in Emmanuel
A New Welcome Awaits You
We are striving to be a welcoming church family and to aid our welcome the reception areas of Emmanuel have been redecorated and new refeshment facilities installed. To find out more please read on or why not come and join us each Sunday - there are services at 1030 am and 6.15 pm?
Fresh Fairtrade Tea & Coffee Before Services
The coffee bar is a vital part of the reception area and you can pick up a fresh cup of coffee or tea before the services as you arrive. Tea and coffee are available in Emmanuel from10am before the morning service and 5.45pm before the evening service. In the morning there is also fruit juice available for children.
There is also tea and coffee available after the service and many people stay around to catch up with each other after both Emmanuel services.
Youth & Children
Welcoming children and young people is a core part of our morning service. There is a parent supervised creche for infants and we offer a range of groups to cater from 2-14 year olds most Sundays. Children are signed into their various groups as we enter the church in the reception area and the service starts at 10.30 with everyone - old and young - worshiping together in the main worship space. After ten minutes or so of united worship the children are then be taken to their groups in the parish centre by the various group leaders. The children stay in their groups for the remainder of the service and are collected by their parents at the end.
The safety and security of children and young people are our first priority and all our children and youth work meets the high standards demanded by the Diocese of Manchester. For more information on children and youth work available in the Emmanuel 10.30 service or more generally within St James and Emmanuel please visit the Youth and Children page of our website or contact Sian who will be happy to help in any way she can.
